The Green Wave Bowlers traveled to Troy this afternoon to face the Trojans in an away match. The Boys had and amazing match today and the girls did as well. The Lady Wave Bowlers bowled their best score of the season today, but the Troy girls are in a league of their own and beat the girls by just shy of 400 pins. The Lady Wave score would have been good enough for a win with almost every other team in the league. The girls all did a great job and should be very proud of themselves. The girls were led by Addy Arnett with a 184 high game and a 361 high series.
The Boys Varsity Bowling team bowled an amazing match today. In game #1 - we had 3 boys bowl well over 200 and the others were in the high 100's. We're still reviewing old scores, but the boys either set a school record for high team score or got really close to it. We'll verify this in the near future. Special mention goes to Scotty Lennartz for bowling a 277 (10 out of 12 strikes), Michel Thompson for bowling a 254 (8 out of 12 strikes) and Roman Swisher for bowling a 232 (7 out of 12 strikes). The boys bowled a 1127 on game 1.
The boys jumped to a commanding lead after game 1 and continued to extend that lead to 364 pins by the end of the match. Scotty Lennartz led the boys with a 277 high game and as 442 high series. The bowlers get a few days to rest until they host West Carrollton at Woodcrest Lanes next Wednesday. GO WAVE!!!
