The Greenville Boys Bowling Teams bowled in the 2nd Annual Blackhawk Tournament at Woodcrest Lanes on Saturday. There were 8 teams participating. The Varsity team started off in 2nd place after game 1 and dropped to 4th place after game 2. Then they bowled 6 baker games and bowled well enough to qualify in 2nd place. The JV team started off in 6th place and stayed in 6th place to qualify in 6th place.
After a lunch break, the bowlers went into heads up bracket play. The Greenville JV team was knocked out in the first round of bracket play. The varsity team defeated Waynesfield-Goshen 2-0 to move to the semi-finals. In a very close match, the boys defeated Ansonia 2-1 to move to the finals. The boys put out their best effort, but they lost 0-2 to Beavercreek to take 2nd place in the Blackhawk tournament 2 years running. Grant Fisher bowled the high game with a 183 and a high series of 352 finishing 4th over all on the All Tournament team. The Greenville Bowling teams will host Xenia on Wednesday afternoon.
