The Greenville Bowling Teams hosted Stebbins today at Woodcrest Lanes in Union City. These were some of the closest matches we've seen to date. After the first game for both the boys and the girls varsity, they were both ahead by single digits. Game 2 was much better for the boys extending their lead to 34, but the girls fell behind just a bit to be down by 8 after game 2.

The boys gave away 1/2 of their lead in the first baker, to only be up by 17 pins, and the girls deficit extended to 46 pins. But everyone was fired up for the 2nd baker. The boys kept their foot on the gas to win the 2nd baker and win the match by 43 pins. The girls made a valiant effort on the last game getting back 39 pins, but it wasn't enough and they lost the match by 7 pins.

Congratulations go out to Michel Thompson getting the first 7 strikes of game 1 and leading the team with a 233 high game and a 397 high series. Marissa Boney was the leader for the girls with a high game of 171 and a high series of 310. The Wave bowling teams will travel to Capri Lanes on Tuesday to take on West Carrollton. GO WAVE!
